Featuring performances some of the UK’s top jazz musicians from Tomorrow’s Warriors and Kansas Smitty’s with dancers Nancy Hitzig and Katie Latter, Professor Catherine Tackley from the University of Liverpool (author of The Evolution of Jazz in Britain, 1880-1935 and curator of the acclaimed exhibition Rhythm and Reaction: the Age of Jazz in Britain) tells the story of the arrival and impact of jazz in the UK.
